The South African Police Service hereby invites unemployed youth who conform to the requirements for a twelve (12) months internship programme at Division: Crime Intelligence. The internship programme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy
- Must be between ages 18 – 35
- Be a South African citizen
- Must be in possession of Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
- Must have no criminal record(s)
- Applicants must be unemployed, was never employed in field of the post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post previously
- Applicants must be residents of the province where the post is advertised (proof of residential address to be attached)
- Applicants are restricted to apply for 3 positions only (to complete an application form for each ref number)
- Graduate Intern: Tertiary Qualification is required
- Student Intern: Need practical experience in order to finalise qualification NB:

✏ Only the official application form for Senior Management Service (SMS) posts in the South African Police Service, which can be obtained from the SAPS website: www.saps.gov.za, will be accepted.
✏ All instructions on this application form must be adhered to. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application.
✏ This form must be properly completed and be signed by the applicant. Each page of the application form must be signed / initialed by the applicant.
✏ This application form must be completed in black ink and block letters (handwritten or typed)
✏ The post particulars and number of the post must be correctly specified on the application form.
✏ A separate original application form and CV must be submitted for each post you apply for. Copies will not be accepted.
✏ The CV must contain full particulars of:
all boards on which an applicant serves;
current employment and other business interests; and
career promotions, appointments, career developments, career history, current studies and qualifications.
✏ An applicant must also attach to every application originally certified copies of the following:
valid motor vehicle driver’s license;
all educational qualifications obtained;
academic record / statement of results in respect of educational qualifications obtained; and
service certificates of previous employers stating the post occupied.
✏ Applications must be mailed timeously. Late applications will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application has been received at the Subsection: SMS Appointment Administration, Head Office on or before the closing date and time of the advertisement.
✏ Applications which do not meet the above-mentioned requirements may be rejected.
